Siemens Study: You Can Get Satisfaction

Thu, Feb 28th 2008

Siemens Hearing Instruments, with headquarters in Piscataway, New Jersey, recently released the results of an online study of over 700 consumers of hearing aids. In the highly-competitive marketplace of hearing technology, Siemens wants to make sure its customers are happy, just as any responsible corporate citizen does. And the study, conducted by ICR, of Media, Pennsylvania, clearly indicates that hearing aid wearers do, in fact, rely heavily on the consultation of their hearing health care professionals.

Of the respondents, ages 42 through 65, 85% of survey takers report that they were satisfied with the service and treatment provided by their hearing health care providers. More than half of those who responded visited an Audiologist for advice, 21% visited an Otolarygologist (ear and throat specialist) while 16% stated they visited a hearing aid practitioner.

Get Face (or Ear) Time. Dont Buy a Hearing Aid Over the Web.

Todays hearing aids even the basic, entry-level models, are jam-packed with digital circuitry to make the listening and wearing experience more natural for the wearer. These devices deliver automated features that do everything but start the car. Automatic feedback suppression, automated volume control, omni-directional microphones for a more natural listening experience, and more. To get these kinds features all working properly, its wise for any hearing aid wearer to seek advice from a hearing pro.

The modern hearing aid can quickly be adjusted to the listening needs and preferences of the individual user, allowing todays hearing aid wearers to have their devices adjusted to learn their personal preferences, with an occasional check-up at the local hearing shop.

Todays hearing aids are sleek, micro-computers that employ the latest in digital technology to deliver the most natural and convenient listening experience to todays demanding consumers.

Here Come the Boomers

And, because of the baby boom bubble coming our way over the next 15 years, were going to see an increase in hearing aid wearers, and Siemens, known for its quality of service and the quality of its hearing aids, undertook this important survey to make sure their customers were satisfied. They were. In fact, almost all respondents were happy with their hearing aids and their professional hearing advisors.

The Hearing Care professional is vital to the fitting and hearing instrument selection process. This according to Dr. Thomas Powers, VP of Audiology and Professional Relations at Siemens.

The Siemens spokesperson went on to say It is very gratifying to know that customers are having good experiences in the offices and are heeding the advice they receive from their professionals.

Indeed, that is good news. Now all you have to do is go to the telephone and call to make an appointment with a local hearing health care professional to find the right product to fit your hearing needs and, of course, the budget.

Talk to a professional, listen to his or her advice and keep that device functioning as it should with regular visits to the ear store.

Automated convenience and a natural hearing experience thats what boomers want and, according to this 07 Siemens study, when they employ the services of a specialist, thats just what they get.
