Siemens, the hearing aid manufacturer, has introduced a CIC hearing device for individuals who experience significant hearing loss. Called the NITRO 16, this completely-in-the-canal (CIC) hearing aid model delivers powerful sound in a tiny package.

In the past, consumers with moderate to severe hearing loss couldnt employ CIC devices. They lacked the power required to amplify sound sufficiently because of their small size and positioning within the ear canal itself.

Lets start with power. The NITRO 16 is capable of delivering an output of about 130 dBs of sound. Thats loud. Loud enough to deliver quality sound even to those who experience extensive hearing loss.
